About Me
Welcome! My name is Sam Volpe, and I'm currently a senior in the Global Studies Diploma Program at Watkinson School. In addition to Global Studies, I'm also a member of the varsity soccer and frisbee teams, as well as the student leader of the Brass Kickers.
I joined the Global Studies Program in eleventh grade to fulfill my desires for education and adventure. I've had the opportunity to travel a couple times with my family, and my experiences in countries like Greece and China sparked within me a passion for exploring the world. Global Studies helps me chase that passion by diving deep into foreign cultures and preparing me to be a global citizen. Additionally, the Global Studies Seminar is a unique opportunity for me to diversify my education. As a student, I strive to understand why things are the way they are, and by examining the themes and learning the skills of the Global Studies Program, I hope to continue to grow my awareness of the connectivity between global forces and the nuanced workings of our world.
